The parking lot was remodeled to accommodate off street stacking.
OAK PARK HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
During COVID cars were queuing on Neal Ave. Accidents occurred. The parking lot traffic flow was modified to one-way and the drive thru was placed in the parking lot to accommodate off street stacking.
Stanley & Wencl modified the traffic flow, menu boards and ordering station. The challenge was to maintain drive thru operations during the project allowing for limited shutdowns.
Work included new curb and gutter, new menu board footings, new LED lighting, repaving and re-striping the parking lot.
WHAT’S UNIQUE ABOUT THIS PROJECT?
Keeping the drive thru open during operations. A police officer was utilized for traffic control. Traffic was directed off of Neal Ave into the parking lot.
“It went seamlessly despite the parking and traffic flow challenges,” Keith Sturm. “Stanley & Wencl did very well managing the details and working with the municipal authorities to assure everyone was happy and safe.”
